Wedding Bells...Barbara & Mike

Wow! My brother and Barbara got married on Friday! Their story is like something you read about in a book. They actually dated in High School...went their separate ways...married other people...had children...got divorced...and 27 years later found each other and married on Friday, September 26. Our family is thrilled! Just call them the Handley Bunch. Together they have 5 children...3 boys and 2 girls. I pray this is their happily every after!

Tres...Spreading the WORD

Please pray for Tres. He will be bringing the Word of God on Wednesday night October 1, 2008 at ChristWay for FOCUS Student Ministries. I am so proud of him. At the same time I am nervous for him. He is an anointed young man so I am sure he will do fine. Again, please pray for him!

TNT...Big Bang!

Well I should have listened to all those seasoned women in my life. When you let your child know how much you like the person they are dating...of course they breakup. All you mothers out there...listen up...it is true. I just experienced this. Tres and Tiffany are officially broken up.

Pres...2

Well what a let down. The President cancelled and sent the Vice-President. It was still an exciting event. I'm thankful I had the opportunity to attend. Gov. Riley was there also. It was a good turn-out. Good things were said.

TNT

Tres and Tiffany are dating. I am so glad! I just adore her. From puppy love to true love. Who would have guessed it? Only time will tell if they are meant to be.

They both have a devoted relationship with the Lord. I know they are seeking the Lord for His direction for their lives. I do pray God's blessings upon each of them. He has a plan for them and if that plan includes each other then so be it. If not thank the Lord for this time. I pray that the Lord will reveal His plan to them!

Chase - 1st College Golf Tournament

Chase had his first College Golf Tournament recently in Montgomery. This was a fabulous experience. Chase placed overall individually 12th in the tournament. He shot a practice round of 73, 1st day of tournament he shot a 78, and the 2nd day of the tournament he shot a 72. I was so proud of him! The team tied for 6th. Not too bad! Go Bulldogs!

Another great thing about this tournament was the fact that it was in Montgomery. I got to spend time with my close friend Ginger. We have been friends since we were 6 years old. Thanks Gin! I really enjoyed spending time with you and your family. It was great being able to share the experience of the first college tournament with you! I had a great time! You were a real trooper rain and all!

The next tournament is coming up in a couple of weeks. Atlanta...Here comes the Bulldogs!

College Students

It's hard to believe that Chuck and I have 2 College Students. Tres is at Jefferson State Community College and Chase is at Alabama A&M. Last year we had to adjust to Tres being away from home a good bit traveling with the UAB football team. He worked very hard and was out at all hours. This will definitely age you! This year is whole different story. Chase is actually living away from home. It is only through the grace and mercy of God that we are able to survive. He gives you a peace like no other!

Emotional Roller Coaster

Parents of High School Seniors need to know that this is a year of Roller Coaster emotions. One minute you are so excited for your child and the next you are so sad because it is the last of something. You cherish each moment you are spending with your child as they begin to step into adulthood. Then there are moments when you can't wait for them to leave for college. When that day comes...you start an entire new journey. It's a brand new Roller Coaster!!!

The Prez...

This week I will be attending an event that President Bush will be at. I am so excited! Please Lord don't let me embarrass myself!
